A Brief Bio

Costume Pieces and Plane Rides

Often, when asked where is "home" Nicole Gentile answers "the seat of a plane". Nicole grew up in Tucson, Arizona until the age of 8 when a parental divorce perforated her next ten years with monthly flights between Orange County, California and Portland, Oregon. Given her ever-changing settings as a child, Nicole (ironically) found a sense of consistency in a life on the stage. Always a natural born performer, Nicole made her first appearance on stage in the Baby USA 1998 Pageant; in which she took home the crown, as well as the "Tiny Miss Tucson" and and "Dimpled Darling" awards. She spent the rest of her childhood bouncing between costumes through her involvement in various show choirs, musicals, plays, improv, and jazz band. She was proud to serve for two years as The ASB Performing Arts Commissioner at her high school and was given her second, and probably most treasured crown, in her senior year as a Homecoming Princess. Her childhood culminated in a cross country move to New York City to attend New York University's Tisch School of the Arts to major in Drama through the New Studio on Broadway with a minor in the business of Entertainment.

Diversifying the Portfolio

Nicole spent her next four years studying Music Theatre at NYU Tisch School of the Arts' New Studio on Broadway. During her training, She was able to study various styles of Acting, Singing, and Dance and take place in both established classics of the Musical Theatre Canon and develop various works of New Musical Theatre through the studio's partnership with the NYU Tisch Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Department. During her time at NYU, Nicole became a proud member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Women's Fraternity and furthered her passion for travel while studying Shakespeare during a semester abroad in London. Nicole honed her passion for directing and casting in various side projects and was able to develop her practical knowledge of the Performing Arts Industry through her minor in The Business of Entertainment (a tri-school minor between NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Steinhardt School of Media, Culture, and Communication, and  Stern School of Business). Nicole spent her first summer after college interning at a Stephanie Klapper Casting and is currently living and working in New York City.
